The Repubs exploited Obama's genuine desire for bipartisanship. They delayed, obstructed, pretended - just so the final bill would fail or be so watered down that voters would view Obama as ineffective.
We need to dunk on these fuckers and show them who's boss. As McTurtle himself said 'Elections have consequences.'
Process is quickly forgotten but results are forever.
If Biden beats the pandemic and saves the economy nobody is going to give two shits about how he did it. Dems will simply look good and we'll easily hold the WH and expand majorities in Congress.
The Repubs are the Seditionist Party and not to be trusted in any way. Their only goal is to run the same playbook they ran with Obama ie obstruct, weaken and then whine and then ride it to big gains in the Senate and House. F them - Biden needs to strongarm Sinema and Manchin and pass the Covid rescue via Reconciliation with Dems alone. The Repubs passed tax cuts for the rich via the same process and were able to sell it as a 'win'. That's all voters care about is 'wins'. F bipartisanshit.
This was an orchestrated coup attempt and we need a thorough
impeachment trial that pulls back the lens and looks at all of the events surrounding the 1-6 attack - not just the day itself.
It doesn't matter how long it takes or if Repubs vote to impeach or not. This is our chance to lay the facts on the table and stand up for democracy ... we may not have many other chances should the Seditious Right continue to gain power in this country.

Reddit (and similar boards) have always been a haven for the alt-right and alt-left, who would love nothing more than to create chaos for the Biden admin. Why didn't they pull this stuff during Trump's admin? That's your answer right there.

During the pandemic Wall St has reaped record profits while Main St stands on food lines.
Alot of deluded people also bought into the idea of Trump as a 'great businessman' from the image he projected on The Apprentice. They don't care that he doesn't pay taxes - they secretly wish to also be rich and not pay taxes as well.
It was a planned coup disguised as a protest,
not a protest that went wrong. The more evidence that comes out proves this. They seemed to have details of the layout and came prepared with helmets, vests, weapons, bear spray, zip ties etc and even constructed a gallows. Clearly they prepared to take and execute hostages, with the intent of derailing the peaceful transfer of power.
We should be very concerned about any MAGA apologists in the military - as it is that mindset that likely led to the police going easy on them, as well as outright complicity.
+1. White nationalism is at the core of Trumpism
and of election denialism. It irks them that in many of these swing states black/brown voters in big cities were the decisive margin that put Biden over the top. To the MAGAts such votes should not count at all, hence their sense (without evidence) that the election was fraudulent.
