Hillary faced a general election opponent in Donald Trump who was criminally conspiring with a major foreign government to rig the election in his favor. She also faced a mainstream media that was intent on giving Trump a free pass by not vetting him, and free advertising by airing his rallies in full, because it didnt want to lose its ratings cash cow. Finally, Hillary faced an FBI Director who went rogue eleven days before the election by releasing a letter which falsely claimed that she was under criminal investigation when she wasnt. These arent excuses; theyre facts. And yet she still won the election by three million votes.
But she screwed up by not spending enough time in Wisconsin and Michigan, right? Wrong. She had those two states locked up, until James Comey sent his letter and frightened her least-sure voters into staying home. There was no way she could have anticipated Comeys letter and it came so late that there was no way to properly adjust strategy after the fact. Whatever you think Comeys subsequent efforts to stand up to Donald Trump, the cold hard reality remains that he misled the public about a presidential nominee just days before election day, because he was assuming she would win and he was trying to cover his own ass for after the fact.
SNIP/
Meanwhile the media rarely aired Hillarys own words, and instead spent most of its time lying about her emails. The media ignored Hillary when she talked policy, and only aired her when she went after Trump, and then falsely claimed that she didnt spent enough time talking policy. Major news outlets gambled that they could spent the entire election scandalizing and demonizing Hillary while giving a free ride to her opponents, and that their ratings cash-grab wouldnt impact the final outcome anyway. They gambled wrong. The media didnt understand the impact of Trump-Russia collusion, and didnt see the Comey letter coming. Combined, they all conspired to rig the election against Hillary Clinton.
Again, these arent excuses. Theyre just the facts. If youre not aware of any of the above, its because you were misled or you werent paying attention. Despite the media placing its thumb on the other side of the scale in both the primary race and the general election, Hillary Clinton won them both in multimillion vote blowouts. Despite Russia and the FBI trying to sabotage her, Hillary still blew out Trump. She ran a great campaign. The end results prove it. Anyone claiming otherwise is peddling fiction.

🎶DACA Shame🎶 - A Randy Rainbow Song Parody
🎶DACA Shame🎶 - A Randy Rainbow Song Parody
FB, YouTube, Twitter, Cambridge Analytica, Russia, the GOP & Trump.
In an online BBC video, Theresa Hong, the Donald Trump campaigns Digital Content Director, has made a number of startling confessions that she seems to think were bragging points. Shes revealed that Cambridge Analytica, the company suspected of having used voter data stolen by the Russian government to plot its online marketing strategy on Trumps behalf, ran its operations out of the same offices where the Trump campaign itself was plotting its paid Facebook ad strategy. But the truly shocking revelation is who else she admits was in the building, which Trumps people called Project Alamo.
The BBC interviewer asks Hong, What were Facebook and Google and YouTube people actually doing here? Why were they here? She responds by saying They were helping us, you know. They were basically our hands-on partners as far as being able to utilize the platform as effectively as possible. Shen then bragged When youre pumping in millions and millions of dollars to these social platforms, youre going to get white glove treatment. So they would send people, you know, representatives to the Project Alamo to ensure that all our needs were being met. Watch the shocking BBC video below

Series 1: 2. The Persuasion Machine
Jamie Bartlett reveals how Silicon Valley's mission to connect the world is disrupting democracy, helping plunge us into an age of political turbulence. Many of the Tech Gods were dismayed when Donald Trump - who holds a very different worldview - won the American presidency, but did they actually help him to win? With the help of a key insider from the Trump campaign's digital operation, Jamie unravels for the first time the role played by social media and Facebook's vital role in getting Trump into the White House. But how did Facebook become such a powerful player?
Jamie learns how Facebook's vast power to persuade was first built for advertisers, combining data about our internet use and psychological insights into how we think. A leading psychologist then shows Jamie how Facebook's hoard of data about us can be used to predict our personalities and other psychological traits. He interrogates the head of the big data analytics firm that targeted millions of voters on Facebook for Trump - he tells Jamie this revolution is unstoppable. But is this great persuasion machine now out of control? Exploring the emotional mechanisms that supercharge the spread of fake news on social media, Jamie reveals how Silicon Valley's persuasion machine is now being exploited by political forces of all kinds, in ways no one - including the Tech Gods who created it - may be able to stop.
How do you want us to deal with HRC's book! We know she is proud to be a DEMOCRAT!
So whatever she writes is not malicious towards DEMS and the DEM party. She was also our Presidential nominee in the last election.
The book's timing is great because we can learn from her insights (brilliant woman that she is!) just in time for the next elections in 2018 and 2020.
BTW are there any changes you foresee in DU to regards to future elections. Are there going to be changes to help make sure that after the primaries the DEM nominee is supported and respected here. WE CANNOT REPEAT 2016!
So 2 questions:
1. How to discuss HRC's book which will be released Sep 12th.
2. Future changes in DU for next elections: 2018, 2020, etc...
Thanks, Skinner & co.
Sen Feinstein says DACA an EO," That's why we need to pass a law & we should do it"
Quote from DU:
1. Anything not yet in the books can be considered shaky legal grounds, nothing
new or interesting about this.
Dianne is assuming people understand what is meant by something that is a LAW and something that is an EO.
You see laws are interpreted by judges, so laws themselves are on shaky ground when you have people like Gorsuch and the other rightwing idiots around.
DACA isnt even a law, just an EO, so with our enemies around of course it is on shaky grounds.
Facebook says it sold political ads to Russian company during 2016 election
Facebook says it sold political ads to Russian company during 2016 election
Representatives of Facebook told congressional investigators Wednesday that it has discovered it sold ads during the U.S. presidential election to a shadowy Russian company seeking to target voters, according to several people familiar with the companys findings.
Facebook officials reported that they traced the ad sales, totaling $100,000, to a Russian troll farm with a history of pushing pro-Kremlin propaganda, these people said.
A small portion of the ads, which began in the summer of 2015, directly named Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton, the people said. Most of the ads focused on pumping politically divisive issues such as gun rights and immigration fears, as well as gay rights and racial discrimination.
The acknowledgment by Facebook comes as congressional investigators and special counsel Robert Mueller are probing Russian interference in the U.S. election, including allegations that the Kremlin may have coordinated with the Trump campaign.
The U.S. intelligence community concluded in January that Russia had interfered in the U.S. election to help elect Trump, including by using paid social media trolls to spread fake news intended to influence public opinion.

To the people who did not vote for HRC & still bragging about it. You are not an ally!. THREAD:
Author of thread is talking about voters in general, not about DU specifically.

Tonight is one of those nights where I have to sit and wonder how there are still people out there bragging about not voting for Hillary. 1/
Let's face the facts: If Hillary were President, the headline tonight wouldn't be that the President is shredding DACA. I can assure you. 2/
Would things be flowers & roses? No. Would we be brunching without a care? No. But so many people would be safer under President Clinton. 3/
We wouldn't have to worry about Obamacare being repealed because President Clinton would veto every horrendous healthcare bill. 4/
Families like Karla Ortiz's wouldn't have to fear deportation on a daily basis. LGBTQ+ people would have an advocate in the Oval. 5/
We'd have a President who isn't afraid to say #BlackLivesMatter. Who recognizes that police brutality and white supremacy are problems. 6/
It wasn't just about voting for Hillary Clinton. It was about ensuring federal protections for marginalized communities. 7/
To the people who had the privilege to sit at home, vote 3rd party, &/or treat the election as a joke: shame on you. You're not an ally. 8/
There were so many people counting on you to elect a President, Governors, Senators, and Reps that would protect them. You let them down. 9/
Own up to the mistake. I hope to see you on the front lines. Because now we really cannot afford to lose more than we have already. 10/10
