A Modest Suggestion about Referring to the "Other Guy"

With respect for anyone who wishes to use his or her own unique verbiage, may I suggest that we generally refer to him as the defeated former guy. Whatever term or phrase we may personally use to describe him, I believe it will be more effective if we fairly consistently use the term defeated in our terminology. It reflects reality in a way that deserves to be regularly repeated. At least that's my perception. Thank you for considering my suggestion, fellow DU friends and associates. - Dave

A Modest Suggestion

In view of Trump's level of responsibility for the violent insurrection at the Capitol on Wednesday, Jan 6th, the appropriate authority which comes into being on January 20th should freeze all of the assets of the various Trump organizations until they have paid in full for the damages and repairs to the Capitol properties.

Considering the enormity of this coup attempt and the unnecessary loss of human life in that hallowed space, this is simply a small step toward justice.

Republicans --

CANCEL THE COUP!

Conceding defeat is among the most noble of democratic norms. You will live to try again.
Please don't make fools of yourselves at this critical moment in our history. You have no idea how petty this maneuver appears to analytical people. Please stop this idiocy before you permanently soil your brand. We tried to warn you. Now, it's all on you!
