Olbermann: Are these people high, or what?

I used to find Keith's rhetoric a little too over the top, but he has the perfect tone for the present level of absurdities.

If the immigration ban was only going to be for 90 days...

while Trump's policy geniuses created better screening procedures than the ones that have allowed 0 terrorist incidents ever from those 7 countries, why don't they just use those 90 days while the ban is held up in the courts to create their great new plan?

They won't, because the whole thing is bull$hit.

Trump changes counterextremism program to ignore violent white supremacists & focus only on Islam

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-extremists-program-exclusiv-idUSKBN15G5VO
The Trump administration wants to revamp and rename a U.S. government program designed to counter all violent ideologies so that it focuses solely on Islamist extremism, five people briefed on the matter told Reuters.

The program, "Countering Violent Extremism," or CVE, would be changed to "Countering Islamic Extremism" or "Countering Radical Islamic Extremism," the sources said, and would no longer target groups such as white supremacists who have also carried out bombings and shootings in the United States.
Two Republican Senators to vote against Betsy DeVos

Collins (Maine) & Murkowski (Alaska) announced that they're voting No on Betsy. Need to pick up one more Republican vote to dump DeVos, or Pence will be able to break the tie and confirm her. Hopefully, Flake or McCain or someone else will cross over on this. Even most Republicans seem to realize that she is Sarah Palin level unqualified.

Good - Al Franken is on the Judiciary Committee

It seems like he might be our MVP for questioning nominees. He obliterated Betsy DeVos, which is kind of like saying you beat up Stephen Hawking, but he still did a great job with drawing her into the details and he presents really well.

Gorsich has written a lot of opinions, apparently a number on women's health issues, and a book on physician assisted suicide. Trump was unambiguous how terrific Gorsich will be for ending abortion, and if opinions like that are in writing, the R's will have to exercise the nuclear option, which they probably will. But, there need to be hearings that are nationally watched like Clarence Thomas to put them on the hook for it.
