ProudLib72's JournalI want to ask a serious question about DU's tolerance of anti-Nazi speech
I have seen a lot of posts about how America killed Nazis during WW2. I think the intent is to say that at least some amount of violence (maybe even killing?) is tolerable. On the other hand, there have been a lot of posts about needing to avoid violent confrontation, even ignoring the Nazis completely.
To be honest, I could go either way. I am struggling between anger and rational response. But the conversations on here are confusing me. I really do not know if my level of anger is appropriate. So I want to gather some ideas about what is appropriate. Maybe this is a dumb (or weird) idea. However, I feel like there may be some others in the same boat. Look, at least we can agree that we have reached a point where our conversation is well beyond average DU expectations and forum rules are being bent. That is not to say that, in this instance, those rules can't be bent. I'm just saying that it is becoming very confusing.
Aren't we at 2/3 majority yet???!!!!!
You know that Dems are have to be reaching out to their fellow congress people and asking, gently persuading them it's ok to call an insane man insane.
He's Going Back to Trump Tower
NYC get ready to pay through the nose to protect him. Better keep the protests low keyed, too.
So by "working vacation" he meant working over the taxpayers.

Mussolini Ran Over People, Too
Let's not forget that. U.S. Major General Butler recounted a story about Il Duce in 1931.
Butler related an anecdote about Italian Prime Minister Benito Mussolini while making the point that mad-dog nations could not be trusted to honor disarmament agreements. Butler recounted a story told him by an unnamed friend who had been taken by Mussolini for a high-speed automobile ride through the Italian countryside, in the course of which the dictator ran down a child and did not bother even to slow down: My friend screamed as the childs body was crushed under the wheels of the machine. Mussolini put a hand on my friends knee. It was only one life, he told my friend. What is one life in the affairs of a State.
And this is what our government did about it.
The US government, which, at this time, was rather friendly with the fascist Italian government, issued a formal apology for what it called discourteous and unwarranted utterances by a commissioned officer of this government on active duty. It went so far as to place Butler the highest ranking official in the Marines and the most decorated Marine in his countrys history under arrest. President Hoover even ordered a court martial for the general the first time a US general had been court-martialed since 1862. That is how angry he was that Butler had spoken the truth about their iniquitous ally (the US has a long history of siding with inquitous allies).
Our country tolerates fascism better than most. It tolerates Nazis beating people and running them over with cars. It tolerates tRump as fascist dictator. It blames level headed people who are horrified by fascism.

They're Going to Repeat Charlottesville Next Weekend...In Boston!
Proud Boys are coming to Boston next Saturday. Same reason. Same results guaranteed. Will the powers that be wake up in time to prevent it, or are we starting a national trend?
Rep. Maxine Waters mocked at California tea party conference
This pisses me off to no end. You have to look at the picture to see what the fuss is about. It's disgusting.
LA Times link: http://www.latimes.com/politics/essential/la-pol-ca-essential-politics-updates-rep-maxine-waters-mocked-at-tea-party-1502552052-htmlstory.html
An unflattering picture of Waters, obviously doctored, was flashed on a screen just after Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Elk Grove) delivered the keynote address Friday evening.
Woody Woodrum of the conservative activist group California Screaming Eagles told the crowd that it was Waters' reaction when she heard McClintock was coming to speak to California tea party members, drawing a big laugh in the room.
It was just a joke, Woodrum said later.
Woodrum said it wasnt meant to be mean-spirited. He said the photo has been floating around the Internet.
State of Emergency in Charlottesville. State of Emergency in America
The rally is just one example of the hate loosed upon our country. This rally did not happen in a vacuum, a one off event. I blame tRump 100%. We need to cut off the head to kill the snake. Lay him low and send these troglodytes scurrying back to the caves they crawled out from.
What other countries can tRump poke his stick at?
We've had Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria. Those have seen military action. He has threatened Iran, NK, now Venezuala. I know I'm forgetting one or two. That is an average of roughly one country per month. We need to come up with 42 more countries before his term is over. Let's help him out and make a list of countries and reasons to provoke them.
I'll go first: I suggest the Indonesian controlled Kalimantan portion of Borneo because headhunters are very unchristian and therefore antithetical to our western democracy.
Approval Ratings Through the Roof!
Hispanics love him. Union people fight for his attention. 45%, biggliest numbers ever. Those people at the Washington Examiner need to have their heads examined.
