"House Democrats who are publicly and privately agitating to begin impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump are growing worried that their time is running short -- and that they are missing key opportunities to give them a clear opening to mount a formal probe.
New York Rep. Jerry Nadler, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee who would be in charge of leading an impeachment inquiry, has repeatedly made a behind-the-scenes case to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others to begin a probe, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.
Nadler has told his colleagues that there are moments with the country paying close attention that would give them a clear opportunity to formally open up an inquiry, according to people who have spoken to him, with Democrats pointing to the immediate aftermath of former special counsel Robert Mueller's report and this week's public testimony as those key times."

We've seen this again and again. Pelosi is doing all she can to run out the clock on impeachment, IMO. She's putting party over country just like the other side does...Hate to say it but it's the truth.
Shocked at what my Repub Senator staffer just said.
I was harrassed, intimidated (didn't work), and gaslighted (that didn't work either).
I called to say I expect him to put country before party if Impeachment ever passed the House. That I was pro impeachment.
His staffer proceeded to tell me it won't happen in the House because Pelosi doesn't want it!! Secondly, she said impeachment failed last week in the House so why am I calling..
I told her the House could bring it up again for a vote tomorrow, next month, etc.etc.etc. She said they won't because it failed last week!?
She again asked me why I was calling today. I told her I watched the Mueller hearing and just the 10 cases of obstruction alone merited impeachment. She then asked me if Mueller revealed anything new because she was too busy to watch it.
She told me trump was exonerated, he wasn't indicted, so he will not be impeached. I told this staffer to quit blowing smoke because I know she realizes the OEM memo prevents indicting a sitting President. However, that has zero to do with impeachment. I asked her are you telling other constitutents this same spiel? No response. When I asked her if she has read the Mueller Report, of course she said no.
Finally, she said she would forward my message to the Senator but that impeachment in the House isn't going to happen!
