Hugh_Lebowski's Journaldeclan mckenna - be an astronaut (live in studio - 2020) seriously my favorite song/video of 2020
And I listened to A LOT of music in the last year.
A metric f**kton would be a good description.
I'm kinda ashamed to say how many times I've watched this video, because it's such an utterly badass song and performance thereof.
I seriously can just watch it over and over.
It's Paul, Elton, Bowie rolled into one, with a dash of Freddie and Brian May ...
I know I posted it a few months ago, but it's genius enough for a 2nd go.
High volume recommended.
rob thomas - streetcorner serenade - solo on piano - 2020 - social distance session - awesomeness
american authors - best day of my life (studio-2014) cause c'mon you know you love this song :)
And a trip back to the better days of 2014 sounds good about now, right?
remember the band Tonic in the 90's? 'if you could only see' dudes? they're back with a new song
just last month, and it's actually pretty damn good!
It's VERY reminiscent of U2 to be honest. Which is not a bad thing.
Check it out ...
So looks like the IRS won't withhold your stimulus if you owe back taxes ...
Or, at least, not when you're current on an approved payment plan, can't speak to any other situation ... like if you're a total scofflaw derelict who's like 10 years behind.
Which I actually have been before, so ... not judging
carbon leaf - life less ordinary (live-2017) I bet you've heard this song but don't know who did it
This is pretty awesome ... song is from 2004 but sounds like the 90's (definite Barenaked Ladies vibe) ... and you're GONNA DIG IT!!!
(other than the camera work which is sadly bullshit)
Your parents 1st cousins are your 1st cousins once removed, and your 1st cousins kids are the same
Cause that's the same relationship.
Just a fun fact for the day that popped to mind for some random reason.
Hope everyone is doing well
matt & phoebe- walking on a string (live studio-2019) this is arguably too much coolness in one song
I love these two people, esp. the goddess Phoebe
War Dogs (movie on NF), based on true story of 20-ish dudes who sell arms to the Government
Is worth a watch. It's not brilliant, but you won't feel like you wasted your time, primarily because it's based on a real-life story you may recall from the news around 2010, so it's cool for the historical aspect of it no matter what.
A couple of (basically) kids put together a company to fulfill arms contracts for the Pentagon, and eventually land a deal to sell the Army 100,000,000 AK-47 rounds ... for a LOT of money.
Spoiler: they go about doing so in a very shady way, and get into some trouble. This is foreshadowed from the first scene, so ... it's not that much of a spoiler.
AFA watching w/kids goes, I'd say it's suitable for 15 and up viewers. There's some light drug use (a couple of rails are done, and pot is smoked copiously) and a scene in a strip club (no nudity), and F-words are thrown around occasionally, but violence is minimal and not gory and overall it's not a 'dark' movie, pretty light-hearted considering the subject matter. A drama-comedy if you will.
