The entire Republican party is having stockholm syndrome

Donald Trump has them by their nuts and leading them to a very dark place.

Not a single leader who will stand up to him and denounce him by name .. And not just write some trite shite on Twitter. No single guy who is willing to get in his face.

Ah-Mazing!!

Stop saying that you are 'alt left'. The only people who were alt left

Were the french people guillotining the rich folks.

As a society we have elements who are closer to the extreme right than we do who are closer to the extreme left.

Anything to the contrary is just alt-facts.

I am not Alt-Left. I am not going to let you ctrl me. And I am going to Del you.

In fact we need to Ctrl+ Alt + Del the presidency.

What the fuck is Alt left??

White nationalism is its ascendancy. Question is when will they peak.

Today's performance by the Trump really makes me really fearful, in these sense it could be real shot in their arm. They are probably feeling emboldened.

The fact of the matter is that people turn feral pretty quickly. It takes a few overzealous kids, a few rumors, a few incidents before a tinder box fueled by fear and firearms is lit.

Mob mentality is a real thing. We could see some really ugly incidents.

Trump has no fucking Idea how fucking dangerous this thing can get. My only hope is some republicans can see it and stand up to him.

Trump cannot criticize KKK neo nazis.

He cannot criticize KKK neo nazis for the same reason he cannot criticize Putin.

He owes his election to them.

Should hate speech be protected under first ammendment??

The courts have probably ruled for the case... But I really wonder whether the greater good is served by expressing such vitriol openly.

I think hate speech should be punishable not by jail or fine, but it should become a part of a persons criminal record that will allow employers to consider it before hiring the person.

Scott Pruitt Is Carrying Out His E.P.A. Agenda in Secret, Critics Say

If he us acting against the spirit and the letter of the law..are there no legal option to go after this motherfucking son a whore and pimp??

This asshole needs to be impeached first thing in 2018

WASHINGTON — When career employees of the Environmental Protection Agency are summoned to a meeting with the agency’s administrator, Scott Pruitt, at agency headquarters, they no longer can count on easy access to the floor where his office is, according to interviews with employees of the federal agency.

Doors to the floor are now frequently locked, and employees have to have an escort to gain entrance.

Some employees say they are also told to leave behind their cellphones when they meet with Mr. Pruitt, and are sometimes told not to take notes.

Mr. Pruitt, according to the employees, who requested anonymity out of fear of losing their jobs, often makes important phone calls from other offices rather than use the phone in his office, and he is accompanied, even at E.P.A. headquarters, by armed guards, the first head of the agency to ever request round-the-clock security.

A former Oklahoma attorney general who built his career suing the E.P.A., and whose LinkedIn profile still describes him as “a leading advocate against the EPA’s activist agenda,” Mr. Pruitt has made it clear that he sees his mission to be dismantling the agency’s policies — and even portions of the institution itself.

Hope Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal make it to Montreal Masters final.

Though the event is in Montreal/Toronto is called Rogers Cup ( Roger Wireless) Roger has never won it in Montreal. My wife & I travelled last to Montreal in 2007 and saw him in action against Novak Djokovic in Finals. Federer lost , unexpectedly in 3 sets.

The drive back from Montreal to my home in NJ was a long mournful one for us.. We were were there the whole week for the tournament and saw him at close range and even got a whole bunch of autographs from ( one each on a ball, ticket & a biographical book on him).

I cant believe that it is 10 years past ( how time flies). And Federer continues to be at the pinnacle of the men's singles game.

Which bring us back to the present time. Nadal will become world #1 in the next couple days , and if things go to plan he will meet Federer on Sunday. Now Fed is enjoying his best streak against him, thanks to his retooled backhand. But the jury is still out on whether he has turned their lopsided rivarly around. Nadal is riding high on confidence after his, yet another, fabulous clay court season. Fed just won record 8 wimbledon without dropping a set and would be fancying his chances against nadal. All of which makes the potential Sunday final an utterly exciting prospect.

And I for one, will be too nervous to watch but will be praying for Federer to win.

Go Roger!!!

Excellent essay about real options we have for North Korea

Too bad it is more than 140 charecters

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/07/24/how-to-take-down-kim-jong-un-215411?cmpid=sf

How to Take Down Kim Jong Un

Stop saying there are no good options on North Korea. Here’s how we can end the threat once and for all—without firing a shot.

At my Senate confirmation hearing a few years ago, I made a promise to the panel deciding my fate: never to use the phrase “there are no good options.” After all, if there were obvious solutions to the hardest—and most interesting—problems we face in the world, they would already have been found. Our job in the U.S. government—I served in the State Department as an assistant secretary focused on human rights—was not to make excuses in such situations, but to use whatever inherently limited tools we had to try to make things better, and to avoid making them worse.

North Korea tests this proposition like nothing else. Since its latest provocative missile test, thoughtful observers have pointed out that neither sanctions nor diplomacy are likely to dissuade Kim Jong Un from deploying nuclear weapons that can reach the United States, that we cannot depend on China to stop him for us, but that the alternative of a military strike on North Korea could cause a war that would lay waste to our ally South Korea. When it comes to North Korea, the phrase “there are no good options” has become a mantra.
