Signage

Not sure exactly what this means, if anything, but...

I live in South Texas, in a generally red (with a slight tinge of purple) area. In years past, I've seen a lot of GOP signage for state, local, and federal races; the 2016 and 2020 T***p/Pence signs were all over, months in advance of the general election.

Today, driving to work, I saw exactly 0 T***p/Vance signs, and 7 large Harris/Walz signs. And not a single Cr*z sign (but then, none for Allred, either).

No, I don't see Texas turning blue in 2024...but I think it's going to be a lot closer than the GOP would like. And if it's close here, maybe it'll be a lot bluer everywhere else? A man can dream.

What frightens me

Yes, I'm worried about the 2 months of hell we'll be put through after the election. I'm hopeful that the congressional investigations (both in the House AND Senate) will help out, early next year.

But what really frightens me is the knowledge that even after he loses, there will still have been around 50,000,000 of my Fellow Americans who voted for him, even knowing that he was a liar, cheat, bigoted fascist. And many will be just as happy to vote for another incarnation of hate, because they themselves are just as hateful.

I don't like thinking that my neighbors are so heartless.
