Jill Stein must immediately speak up against Oliver Stone, just accused of sexual harassment

Oliver Stone is being accused by model and actress Carrie Stevens of forcefully grabbing her breasts.

Since Oliver Stone reportedly voted for Jill Stein, she must now condemn him immediately.

Stein must be treated the same as Hillary Clinton, who has been asked by journalists to condemn Harvey Weinstein.

Human ashes and bones found in wildfire ruins (California)

As in Puerto Rico, the official death toll in the California wildfires is not reliable. Officials say many missing people may not be able to be identified, ever.
It is a very sad situation.

Cover-up? Vox analysis: Puerto Rico death toll far higher than official count

Governor Ricardo Rosello, a Trump lover, says that 45 people have died as a result of Hurricane Maria. But a Vox analysis of news reports in Spanish and morgue bodies finds that the death toll could be in the hundreds:

Senate Democrats worry Russia could jeopardize reelection bids

Source: Politico

Democratic senators fighting to hold on to their seats next year are increasingly worried about a troubling reality: Russia appears set to mess with U.S. elections — again.

The bipartisan leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee warned last week that Russia's second straight attempt to upend a major election appears certain. They pointed to hacked emails, fake news stories and other evidence of interference in France, Montenegro and elsewhere over the past year as signs Moscow remains determined to monkey with voting.

Democratic senators such as Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Jon Tester of Montana — who hail from states President Donald Trump won in 2016 — know they're already facing stiff reelection challenges.

Now they’re concerned the Trump administration is dragging its feet on thwarting sophisticated Russian cyber operations that could have significant impact on their races — and could even sway which party wins control of the Senate. The red- and purple-state Democratic seats are top targets for Republicans hoping to expand their two-seat majority in the Senate; Democrats likely would have to hold all of them if they are to have any hope of retaking the chamber.

Russia is already promoting the hashtag #HarveyWeinstein where they blame Democrats for the sexual allegations against him.

Trump's FEMA is doing a horrible job with the wildfires

It is now mass mainly FEMA's job to contain the California wildfires, but reports cite continuing loss of property and missing people.
Republicans have contributed to these tragedies by opposing measures to curb global warming. The last they can do is put out the fires and they can't even do that.

Hundreds of thousands rally against Catalonia secession

Source: Miami Herald

BARCELONA, SPAIN
Hundreds of thousands of people rallied Sunday in downtown Barcelona to protest against the plans of Catalonia's regional government to secede from the rest of Spain. The march was the largest pro-union showing since the rise of separatist sentiment in the prosperous northeastern region that has pushed Spain to the brink of a national crisis.

Barcelona police said 350,000 people participated, while march organizers Societat Civil Catalana said that 930,000 people turned out.

Those numbers resemble the pro-independence rallies that Barcelona has seen in recent years.

Many in the crowd who marched through the city center under the slogan of "Let's recover our common sense!" carried Spanish, Catalan and European Union flags. Some chanted "Don't be fooled, Catalonia is Spain" and called for Catalan president Carles Puigdemont to go to prison.

Hundreds of thousands rally against Catalonian independence in Spain

An enormous rally just took place in favor of Spain remaining intact. I don't expect the media to cover it much because pro-Catalonian independence generates more clicks in social media, as the extreme right and left support it.

CNN: Trump knew that Tillerson called him a moron BEFORE the media reported it

Sources tell CNN that President Trump knew that secretary of state Rex Tillerson called him a moron, but was angry that the insult went public in a NBC News bombshell.

Multiple sources told CNN that Trump was aware that Tillerson had used the word to describe him before the public report emerged, though it wasn't clear when he first learned of it. Having the information leaked, however, enraged him.

Thus, Trump has been trying to save face by pretending that Tillerson didn't call him such thing.
Also, Tillerson's days are numbered according to the same report.

The jobs forecast was a 75,000 gain, even taking the hurricanes into consideration

This was the forecast: "The U.S. likely added just 75,000 new jobs last month in the wake of hurricanes Harvey and Irma, economists polled by MarketWatch forecast. That would be about half the size of the job gains in August."
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/in-the-eye-of-the-hurricanes-us-job-creation-likely-stunted-in-september-2017-10-05

We had a jobs loss instead. If right-wingers use the hurricane talking point (i.e. the jobs report isn't bad, because hurricanes), please note that the report was much weaker than expected anyway.

CNN National Political Reporter Trump's Las Vegas showed his "ability for compassion"

It looks like CNN"s Maeve Reston (Twitter handle @maevereston) was itching to call Trump "presidential" again, and this time her opportunity was a prepared speech obviously not written by himself.

Trump was "Presidential" and "gracious" in Las Vegas, she said, noting that Sarah Sanders said he didn't work with anyone else in the speech (obviously a lie not challenged by Reston):
