Anime related post

I am not a writer or essayist but I am going to start giving some opinions on the anime that I am watching or have watched. No one here may care, but for the few who do and are looking for new series to watch, I am glad to help.

I watch about 2 hrs of anime a day and have been doing so for years. I can't count the number of series I have finished and have forgotten more than I can remember. So, most of this will be just a few sentences describing something I am currently watching.

I just finished watching The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited, airing on Funimation. It was very enjoyable and I would recommend it to people who like mysteries and action. It is a short series, only 11 episodes, but has a satisfying end and doesn't leave you hanging.

It is described by Wiki as: Daisuke Kambe, a detective with an extreme amount of personal wealth, is assigned to the Modern Crime Prevention Headquarters, a place for officers who have caused problems for the Metropolitan Police Department are sent. There, Daisuke is partnered with Haru Katou, who is repulsed by Daisuke's bribery. Challenging mysteries unfold in front of the two detectives, and they must work together to solve them.

This is not quite true. Kambe is not a detective and is NOT assigned to the division. He pretty much inserts himself into the position with his financial influence.

The main characters have interesting personalities...not especially likeable, but interesting. For a short series, you do care what happens to them.

Is ActBlue the best way to donate to the Georgia run-off?

I did a search and couldn't find anything current.

Thanks

I hope I am wrong....terribly wrong, but it seems to me that this election proved one thing

That 2024 will give us more of the same from the repug party. Hate, racism, gerrymandering and lying about your opponent got them 71 million votes in 2020. How likely is it that they will change? I don't see any moderation of the party or the message in my lifetime.

IMO, just one more reason that we cannot let the malfeasance go unpunished. We must prove that NO ONE is above the law.

I was just thinking of all the expectations the nation has of Joe Biden.

Get us out of a pandemic.
Get the economy back on track.
Get the debt under control.
Fix our healthcare system.
Gun control.
Immigration.
Etc, etc, etc.

And there will be little patience for these things to get addressed.

Compare that to what was expected of tRump. Don't fuck up. That was ALL that was expected of him. That was the only "standard" he was held to. DON'T FUCK IT UP.

AND HE COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT.

I know there is no fairness in the world, but dammit to hell, that sure doesn't seem fair to me.

In response to a question from wifey last nite, I did some digging on the Electoral College

And found out something I did not know. Members are NOT bound to vote for the voters choice for POTUS.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/22/us/politics/electoral-college-faithless-elector.html

In a ruling that kicks at the foundation of how America chooses presidents, a federal appeals court on Tuesday said members of the Electoral College, who cast the actual votes for president, may choose whomever they please regardless of a state’s popular vote.

The ruling by the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in Denver said Colorado was out of bounds in 2016 when it canceled the vote of a so-called faithless elector named Michael Baca. Mr. Baca, a Democrat, wrote in the name of John Kasich, a Republican who was Ohio’s governor at the time, even though Hillary Clinton carried Colorado, earning its nine electoral votes. The secretary of state replaced Mr. Baca with another elector who then voted for Mrs. Clinton.

“The text of the Constitution makes clear that states do not have the constitutional authority to interfere with presidential electors who exercise their constitutional right to vote for the president and vice president candidates of their choice,” the court majority wrote in a split ruling by a three-judge panel.

Just one more reason we need to rid ourselves of this outdated form of choosing a President.

All this DANCING IN THE STREETS is so much better than

driving round the block in your PU Truck and Nazi Flags.

Democrats just know how to celebrate better.

I hope every Freeper and Repug that voted for this POS feels the same feelings that I did then.

They will not suffer the same way that WE did, but I wish them nothing but mental anguish.
