A lawyer for former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department's inspector general and the FBI late Tuesday, claiming they are withholding documents related to McCabe's firing in March.

David Snyder said he has repeatedly tried to get copies of the rules and policies cited by Justice Department officials in recommending that Attorney General Jeff Sessions fire McCabe for misleading investigators looking into the leak of information about an aspect of the FBI's investigation of the Clinton Foundation.

"Those requests have been denied by some of the same high-ranking officials who were involved in, or were responsible for, the investigation, adjudication and/or dismissal of Mr. McCabe," Snyder said in a complaint filed in federal court in Washington, D.C.

Finally, Wommack marveled that if an outspoken Christian like Mike Huckabee or Ted Cruz had been elected and then did what Trump has been doing, “the liberals would have been up in arms—it’s a theocracy, these are Christians taking over—and nobody is accusing Trump of that. So it’s like a stealth thing, God has snuck in and he is doing more godly things than probably any president in my lifetime has done, but it’s not being done under the guise of a Christian.”

I’m not here to tell Russians what to do. I’m supporting Russian LGBT+ advocates and other human rights defenders. They want President Putin to uphold Russia’s constitution and its international human rights obligations, such as the European Convention on Human Rights, which Russia signed and pledged to uphold. I am fearful of arrest and violent attack but undeterred. Inspired by the campaigning and heroism of Russian LGBT+s, I’m acting in solidarity with their battle for equal human rights.

Russia should not be allowed to bask in World Cup glory while abusing LGBT+ people and committing war crimes in Syria, the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time.

Contrary to popular belief, the Trump administration has no problem with immigration. After all, it fully supports legal immigration and immigrants currently on a path to legalization …

The AP reports that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)—under the leadership of anti-immigrant director Lee Francis Cissna—is launching an effort to search out immigrants they believe cheated in their naturalization process and then strip them of their U.S. citizenship.

It’s a process so rare—and extreme—that “most U.S. efforts to strip immigrants of their citizenship focused largely on suspected war criminals who lied on their immigration paperwork, most notably former Nazis.” NAZIS. But these days they’re apparently “very fine people” while immigrants just trying to support their families are the “animals.” And cheaters, apparently.

Republican lawmakers and conservative activists in Michigan have removed references to civil rights and “core democratic values” in state standards for social studies classes.

The focus group proposed the elimination of references to individual minority groups in state standards on civil rights, and recommended teaching high school students “how the expansion of rights for some groups can be viewed as an infringement of rights and freedoms of others.”

Five existing references to the NAACP were cut, leaving only one, as well as both references to LGBT people in sections on civil rights.

The lone reference to the Ku Klux Klan was cut, but Colbeck’s original recommendation called for teachers to instruct students that the racist hate group “was founded as an anti-Republican organization not an anti-black organization,” saying that most southern blacks were members of the GOP at the time.

Colbeck told participants that he got about 10 percent of his proposed recommendations into the document sent on the state officials.

If any more evidence was needed that the Republican Party is completely unable to keep the rabidly racist forces within its ranks at bay, the nation received proof Tuesday night.

Corey Stewart, a far-right extremist, won the GOP primary on Tuesday and will face off against former vice presidential candidate and incumbent Sen. Tim Kaine in the 2018 midterm elections.

Stewart is known for his enthusiastic support for Confederate symbols and monuments. He has billed himself as a fierce opponent of immigrants, and his embraced shameless fear-mongering tactics about a "scourge" of illegal immigration. And he allied himself with Jason Kessler, the white supremacist who led the neo-Nazi marches in Charlottesville last summer, in which protester Heather Heyer was killed. (He has since distanced himself from Kessler.)

The document the duo signed contained four bullet points, which according to CNN stated the following:

The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
The United States and DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula
The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

That all sound great, but for such an important agreement you would hope for a few more points than just four.

This came to the attention of the internet thanks to a tweet from Gizmodo editor James O'Malley, which details that the iTunes agreement clear states:

It’s do-or-die time for the House Republicans who have rebelled against their leadership to demand protections for undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

A group of GOP lawmakers, led by a trio of swing-district Republicans facing tough reelection battles, are just three signatures away from being able to force a vote on the House floor on a bill that would give the group dubbed “DREAMers” a path to citizenship by joining with Democratic lawmakers. They’ve guaranteed they have those signatures, and have held off on pushing through the so-called discharge petition to allow time to negotiate with Republican leaders and GOP hardliners over a compromise bill.

But their deadline has arrived: If group wants to force a vote by June 25, likely the last possible time for serious legislation this year, they must produce those final three signatures on Tuesday. In other words, it’s put up or shut up time.

The agreement signed between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un has been revealed as an agreement to build a Trump golf course just outside Pyongyang.

Trump described the document as a “very comprehensive” agreement that would “take care of a very big and very dangerous problem for the world”, before describing that problem as a desperate lack of prestigious golf courses in the Asia Pacific region.

“I see a lot of potential in this country,” Trump told the world press. “They have so many beautiful beaches just ripe for links courses and their old nuclear facilities are perfect for crazy golf.”
