Contraception

I was 18 years old when I joined the the Air Force. The. “Pill” was only given to women over twenty one unless your doc prescribed it for cramps or acne. My Air Force doc wrote me a Prescription for my “cramps” and sent me on my way. He was very happy to do so.

I would say my doc at that time was pro- choice! Seems like old white men are still trying to keep us barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen…since old white men and one old black man along with 3 liars are trying to “Ozzie and Harriet” us back to the Stone Age.

I am now Seventy three, had two children by choice and my husband had a vasectomy so we would not have more children. Later we divorced and I had a tubal ligation to keep me from a surprise with my new partner. What I chose was no one’s business but my own.

I detest men and women who insist on making sure they get up close and personal in telling me What I can and cannot do with my body. You can bet your ass they would make sure their loved one would have an avenue to take care of that pesky little embryo that some how magically got implanted by mistake…

New boss..same as old boss

when I get up in the morning I read all my special news sites...I save DU until last...I love this site...I go through and read everything that is posted for the morning...all during the day I check out the site for new material. I am retired but am in charge of my 9 year old grandson and gearing up for on line school in a few weeks. I do discuss politics with him and he knows to never..ever vote for a republican. He knows who is who and what they believe...he is biracial and we discuss that issue with him.
I take him to vote with me...but am doing mail in this election because I am high risk.
I notice that once in awhile lttle trolls sneak into this site and they are asked politely to go pedal their views elsewhere. Obviously the head honchos here are always on the ball!

Being alone is something I have enjoyed for years

Social distancing is not a problem for me...I do like people but prefer my own company. Have never liked parties..big gatherings...noise..prefer to read..walk alone and basically hang with myself. I am in charge of my 8 year old grandson while is mom works long hours and school is closed for the rest if the year. We absolutely practice social distancing..wear our masks and gloves everywhere. For exercise we take his tortoise for walks away from people...my grandson rides his bike..does on line learning and basically we are fine. I am one of the "at risk" people so listening to doctors...scientists and those who KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT keeps me relatively safe..the hand washing is a must!
Cant understand the idiots who listen to the bigger idiot and his gaggle of idiots...please get rid of him and all Republicans in November...we can do it!!!!vote blue!

Deleting FB account

It takes quite a bit of time to make fb delete your account. I did it two years ago...took about 2 hours to finally get to where you are asked to download your stuff and then they make you wait another two weeks before they finally delete. Worth every minute I spent.😤.

Cursive

My grandson is in second grade...he will be taught cursive in 3rd grade...children need to learn to write !
When the electrical grid goes down what is there?
My other peeve is Common Core math...what idiot thought that up? Instead of adding 1 + 1 = 2...the kids now have to give 3 ways to get the answer ...the answer is still 2! Higher thinking my ass!
