graph of people Trump has called stupid by gender and race

Before the presidential election, Trump mostly disparaged white people as stupid.

Of course, back then, his political opponents were mostly white people: those running against him in the Republican primary and the conservative establishment broadly opposed to his candidacy. He called Karl Rove, former George W. Bush adviser, stupid five times, including in interviews. Bloomberg’s Tim O’Brien, whom Trump once sued unsuccessfully for alleged libel, earned the description three times, as did television host Glenn Beck.

Since President Trump’s inauguration, though, that has changed.

This year alone, Trump has referred to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) as “low IQ,” a pejorative that is generally reserved for her, seven times. (Two exceptions: He speculated that the man behind the terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015 might have been “low IQ,” and he used the term to describe actor Robert De Niro after De Niro insulted him.) His tweet about Lemon on Friday was the third time he has described Lemon as unintelligent.

There is one consistent theme to Trump’s use of the term that the preceding paragraph should make obvious: Stupid people are the ones who criticize and oppose him. In the primaries, that was mostly people from his own party. Afterward, that has been less likely to be the case.

Bear in mind: This topic covers only instances of Trump referring to individual people as unintelligent. He has used a variety of other terms to insult a broad range of people in the past. James, for his part, responded to Trump’s attempt to revoke a White House invitation to the Golden State Warriors in September with an insult of his own.

Jim Carrey "I'm doing cartoons because I can't just watch this nightmare unfold"

The Golden Globe award-winning star has come under fire about his abstract artwork's insensitive depictions of Donald Trump, Melania Trump and members of Trump's administration.

Carrey wasn’t shy about expressing his scorn for Trump and admitted that his displeasure for the president heavily affected his decision to draw cartoons.

“I’m doing cartoons because I can’t just watch this nightmare unfold. I have to make it into something that is at least creative and decent,” he stated. “Even if it’s crass at times, it’s the crass that I’m expressing that everyone wants to express but can’t necessarily do so in their own lives.”

“So, when I stick a flag in Trump’s a-- it’s because that’s what everyone is seeing – they’re seeing him owned, and I have to express that. And, sometimes that’s the most crass way that I can express it because I’m done with it. I’m done with liars,” he said.

Emmett Till Sign In Mississippi Vandalized With Bullet Holes -- Again

Emmett Till Sign In Mississippi Vandalized With Bullet Holes — Again

The marker has been replaced twice since it first went up in 2007.

Vandals shot up a sign in northern Mississippi memorializing Emmett Till, a black teenager whose lynching in 1955 was a catalyst for the modern civil rights movement.

The historical site marks the area where Till’s body was recovered from the Tallahatchie River three days after he was murdered. At least four bullet holes pierced the marker on July 26, just 35 days after the sign was replaced a second time.

staffers no longer try to trick "the president into doing his job", because nothing hurts him w base

Were it not for his day job, Trump’s lifestyle would be perfectly appropriate for a wealthy 72-year-old in semi-retirement: hours of television in the morning, golf during the day, dinners with friends at the country club at night.

At first, Trump staffers tried to trick the president into doing his job, merging his professional duties with playtime—turning golf outings into political planning sessions, for instance, or scheduling working lunches with foreign leaders. Yet after initially trying to adapt Trump to the presidency, they seem to have conceded that Trump has remade the office in his image. Like other members of his professional class, Trump will take Augusts off. He will play golf multiple times per week, while expensing the costs. And he justifies his downtime as necessary to recharge his creative energies. (”He never switches off and needs constant human interaction, [and] feeds off of the stream of club members coming up to him and praising him,” Swan notes.)

These days, Trump’s babysitters are more like chaperones, allowing the president to blow off steam on Twitter and do and say what he likes. The logic, perhaps, is that Trump has already demonstrated that nothing he does can hurt his popularity with his base, which has maintained its support of him through Charlottesville and Helsinki and the horror of family separation. At this point, his staffers seem to realize, they might as well let Trump be Trump.

Trump TIVos his own rallies to watch later and comment on his "brilliance"

Trump reportedly likes to TiVo his rallies and watch them later like game tape

President Donald Trump reportedly records the coverage of his own campaign rallies and watches the playback afterward.
He especially enjoys reviewing and commentating on moments that are "evidence of his brilliance," one source told Axios.
Trump has held a number of rallies in recent months to campaign for Republicans running for office in this year's midterm elections.
President Donald Trump's go-to TV show is "Fox and Friends." But another favorite program to watch is recordings of his own campaign rallies, Axios reported on Monday.

Trump reportedly records his campaign events on his TV in the West Wing and watches the playback later "like an NFL coach reviewing game film," sources who have watched the rallies with him told Axios.

He especially enjoys commentating on what he thinks were his best and most memorable lines — ones he "believes are evidence of his brilliance."

GOP worried their Ohio voters are on vacation and unaware of special election

stay on vacation until Wednesday repubs, enjoy your vacation!

Democrats surging on eve of pivotal special election
Republicans have deployed the full machinery of the party to avoid defeat in the final special election before the midterms.

By ALEX ISENSTADT 08/05/2018 05:22 PM EDT Updated 08/05/2018 10:36 PM EDT

WESTERVILLE, OHIO — The entire Republican Party machinery has converged on this suburban Columbus district for a furious eleventh-hour campaign aimed at saving a conservative House seat and averting another special election disaster.

But in the final days ahead of Tuesday's election, signs were everywhere that Democrats are surging — from recent polling to the private and public statements of many Republicans, including the GOP candidate himself. The district has been reliably red for more than three decades, but the sheer size of the Republican cavalry made clear how worried the party is about losing it.

At a Saturday evening rally, President Donald Trump tried to juice conservative excitement for mild-mannered Republican candidate Troy Balderson while foisting a Trumpian nickname upon 31-year-old Democratic hopeful Danny O’Connor: “Danny boy.” Earlier in the week, Vice President Mike Pence made the trek, while Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. recorded a robocall, and Gov. John Kasich endorsed Balderson in a TV ad.

----

Republicans contend that their mobilization headaches are being compounded by the unusual timing of the race. Many voters are on vacation or going about their summers and unaware of the special election.

With that in mind, White House officials, who have been watching the contest with growing worry, dispatched Trump to the district in the hope he can fire up conservatives who might stay home on Tuesday. The president, who advisers said was eager to jump into the special election, lavished praise on Balderson while also offering up a greatest-hits like collection of attacks on the media, political rivals and the Russia investigation.

Trump. "a ravenous maw of grievance and invective", "attacking perceived enemies w intensifying fury

Yet in public, Trump is a man roaring. The president, more than ever, is channeling his internal frustration and fear into a ravenous maw of grievance and invective. He is churning out false statements with greater frequency and attacking his perceived enemies with intensifying fury. A fresh broadside came on Twitter at 11:37 p.m. Friday, mocking basketball superstar LeBron James and calling CNN’s Don Lemon “the dumbest man on television.”
