I don't start threads normally,

but the wisdom of the group here is exactly what I need. I just received a letter informing me I received enough write-in votes in the July primary to become a member of the Democratic County Committee. I have until the end of the month to sign and notarize. What is this position? I am very excited, this seems like such a wonderful thing, but also very nervous and unsure what this entails. I wouldn’t take a responsibility like this lightly...so, what are the responsibilities?
