I just called The Turtle's office to demand he allow a vote on the CR just passed in the House.

An automated voice said they're experiencing a high volume of calls, and that my call is very important to them. Then another automated voice tells me the mailbox is not taking messages, goodbye.

What a coward.

Lindsay Graham opens questioning of AG pick Barr by attacking FBI.

He attacked counterintelligence investigation, and then reads the texts of the two agents accused by Trump.

He is wanting Barr to commit to stopping law enforcement officials/FBI from starting 'bogus'
investigations of elected officials.

Why are tv pundits assuming counterintelligence investigation of Trump has ended?

MTP yesterday, and CNN this morning are making the assumption that it has.

We know that Mueller took over the evidence already collected, and as far as we know, evidence is still being collected.

Reminder: FBI investigation of Trump was OK'd by DOJ.

This is a fact.

Who was AG then, and where is he now?

I'm watching Julian Castro on CNN. He's impressive!

He announced his candidacy in English and Spanish in front of a festive crowd from San Antonio's West Side. He talked about his family history, immigration, and his accomplishments as mayor of San Antonio.

He's dynamic and his speaking style reminds me of Obama.

I really like him!

I am feeling relieved today.

Even though I know we have a Russian agent as president actively trying to destroy us and I know we cannot stop him right now, and there's no guarantee he will not succeed - I am breathing a little easier.

I keep thinking about President Obama. That man knew. He knew and he did what he could to ensure that traitors will be held accountable. All this time, he has not said a word, and every now and then sends messages of hope our way. He has been patient and believed that justice will be served.

Today, I believe it too. The end game is beginning.

Emergency!

What does that word mean, really?

It DOES NOT mean uncertainty.

It DOES NOT mean it can wait.

It DOES NOT mean it can be used in a lie to extort.

My kids know what that word means and what happens if they text it to me.

This is ridiculous.

Amy Klobuchar is worried that soon-to-be AG Barr will withhold part of Mueller's report.

She met with him today and he could NOT guarantee that he will release the report in its entirety.

Also, she said that if Trump declares a national emergency, he is breaking the law by circumvetting Congress after multiple pathways forward. She expects legal challenges immediately.

NatGeo: 6 ways the border wall could disrupt the environment.

The reason to build a wall is to keep people out. Yet history is replete with examples of walls all over the globe that rarely deterred determined people from getting in. Janet Napolitano, who served as governor of Arizona and President Barack Obama’s secretary of Homeland Security, was famous for her oft-repeated declaration: “Show me a 50-foot wall, and I’ll show you a 51-foot ladder.” The wisdom of building a wall across the length of the U.S.-Mexico border at a time when the number of arrests of illegal border crossers is at a 45-year low is an issue for the debate over immigration law.

What follows here instead is a look at the implications of wall construction itself—beyond talk over concrete-or-slats—and the unintended consequences that erecting such a barrier could pose. (See what existing parts of the wall look like.)

“Whatever they build, it’s going to be destructive to natural habitat,” says Bob Dreher, an attorney who heads Defenders of Wildlife.

"It’s about the physical reality of what a permanent barrier will do in one of the most sensitive landscapes in North America.”

Individual-1 insisting the border is a tremendous crisis

and he has the right to declare a national
emergency if "we don't make a deal". A lot of funds will be available to him if he does.

And dealing with "these people" is difficult because they don't know how to make a deal.

Somwhere in that word salad he also said that China is easier to deal with than "the opposition party".

Then defending his behavior yesterday and calling Schumer a liar.

In the next breath, repeating the lies that a majority of Americans want the wall and terrorists and drugs are pouring in.

Says NBC reporters are most dishonest of them all, then more digs at Democrats. They don't care about crime.

Now saying a new major caravan is forming in Honduras and the only thing that will stop it is a big powerful
wall.

There's more coming out of his mouth but I'm done.
