He wants to break the justuce system, we’ve known that a long time. The FBI still seems somewhat untainted by him, an institution truth-seeking people still hold in respect. A last bastion of the country we knew.
EVERYONE knows, deep down in their gut - that Dr. Ford is telling the truth. Even those who say she isn’t and are defending Kavanaugh know it too.
Kavanaugh lied to US Senators about boofing and devil’s triangle. EVERYONE with google knows what they really mean. We know he is a liar.
So when the FBI’s report says nothing - when the FBI doesn’t do their duty to find the truth - hamstrung by a “president” who in public says he’s told them to investigate everything - he will effectively break them.
If Trump’s plan works it will be devastating. A crushing blow to justice. One more deep-driving nail in the coffin of our country.
(I really hope my opinion is not how this turns out.)
Kavanaugh doesn't have the temperament to sit on the SC.
He became hysterical - damn near unhinged - and showed he cannot maintain composure in stressful situations.
This to me is a good enough reason to kick him to the curb.
A More Perfect Union
America is an amazing social experiment unlike any in human history. We are diverse country, our citizens come from all corners of the world, trying to live together with an amended old piece of parchment keeping what we say and what we choose to believe, safe.
I believe in what America can be, what we’ve been striving to be and yes, slowly progressing towards that more perfect union that has not come easy at all. So many struggles, so much hate and death at times in our history. Yet we continue, we progress.
There will always be a minority of us who don’t give a damn about any of that. They are selfish swindlers, they take what they can grab and do not care of the suffering they may create. They cheat and lie, they are an infestation of bad behavior, bad human behavior.
Always remember they are the minority. The vast majority of us want to live in peace, free to live as we choose without harming others. Many are easily manipulated by the selfish swindlers though. Truth be known - so many Americans do not vote, do not participate in trying to make America a more perfect union. How do we change that? It’s a question I’ve been pondering for a long time and there’s no easy answer. Without full, engaged participation, the selfish swindlers gain power and when they get it, commit atrocities to keep it. They do not believe in America.
Nevertheless, I believe in America. I believe that more perfect union my ancestors gave their lives to defend is achievable, and I believe that if voting age Americans got a clue about the seriousness of this experiement and their duty to participate, we would move closer to that more perfect union and the selfish swindlers, still there, always there, trying to grab what they can get, will be forced into the shadows.
This is what I choose to believe. I choose to believe in this country and its people. It’s unacceptable to me to give up and let the selfish swindlers run the show.
Don’t be discouraged. Keep going. Talk to people. Keep doing your part to achieve a more perfect union. DO NOT ever give up.
It came from him. The person who "wrote" it is a probably a cabinet member.
I think the op ed was concocted and provided to the NYT so that he can rage at them and play victim, while his cadre of accomplices fellates his ego.
As this goes on with letters of denial and public comments of denial and outrage, can’t shake the feeling that he started it.
