By telling him that Nancy Pelosi is only humoring Democrats and won't actually hold an impeachment vote.
I have no idea how CNN got this information but if true, they're lying to him.

Impeachment is an administrative process, not a criminal trial.
Any talk about accusers and defendants, any language that relates to a criminal trial by the GOP are irrelevant to impeachment.
Just to be clear.
The Mueller Report was a Referral for Impeachment.
Mueller said as much in the report and his testimony, as he was not able to either charge or absolve MF45. Because of the DOJ policy that no sitting president can be indicted it was not a prosecutory case, there could be no binary choice. Impeachment is the only remedy.
I know many of us were disappointed (understatement) in the outcome of what was our only hope for a very long time. Mueller's halo was tarnished and some of us wondered if he was maybe failing in health, or maybe on MF45's side. We scratched our heads and tried to move on, as we endured the insufferable gloating of MF45.
Ever since the Ukraine scheme broke, I've been thinking a lot about Mueller and that 400 page report his investigation produced. A document that Congress and the public have still not yet seen unredacted. A document that is so detailed most Americans have no interest in attempting to read it (redacted). 400 pages of evidence.
I'm now getting a clearer picture of what Mueller did, despite the handicap he had, while still trying to do his duty to this country. We know that Rosenstein was not a friend. We know that Barr twisted the report to exonerate MF45. Mueller said nothing.
Perhaps he knew, as Nancy Pelosi did, that eventually, Trump would impeach himself. He certainly gave him the rope.
It's all going to come out, all of it.

If he had not been caught 2020 would be 2016 all over again.
Biden gets the nomination and then the conspiracy against him becomes the centerpiece of the grifter's campaign rallies with chants of "Lock him up!" and deep state nonsense.
He's a one trick pony.
This time though, he's gonna be put out to pasture permanently.

The way I see it, GOP is now trying to figure out how to save their party.
They went all-in with the grifter and probably thought they could manage him. They succeeded with the Mueller fiasco.
But this is different. Much different.
There is no way they can defend him. It seems some are realizing the enormity of this current offense but can't publicly speak out against him. His base would attack them.
Rock and a hard place. What do they do?
