Old story about guy crediting tree that fell on him for saving his life. Falling down before hitting the guy the tree tore down power lines. Guy’s life was saved when workers came to fix the power lines found the guy under the tree and got him to the hospital. Not a doubt in my mind that Trump will take credit for getting the tariffs lifted that he imposed.

That pales in comparison to Beto’s hell yes we’re going to take your guns.

Hillary has a history of dealing with gun control and the results. Beto should have learned from her instead of blasting into the spotlight light with his version of an apparently newly discovered solution to gun control:

No matter how sincere he felt, he was lacking in foresight when he siezed the 3rd rail of politics barehanded. The Democratic Party and politicians have a history of negative results when even touching the third rail with insulated rubber gloves. Fortunately he dropped out soon enough to isolate the rest of the party from “confiscation”.

The undeniable solution to gun violence is to remove guns. Confiscation is one sided. Legislation to offer protection against the fears rooted in gun possession is a two sided compromise. The solution to simply tell people you don’t need guns and then take the guns won't work. It didn’t and doesn’t work with alcohol, legal drug, and opioids , among a plethora of drugs when obtained illegally.
