Fred Astaire is synonymous with great dancers but something said a long time ago just dawned on me on who the greatest dancer is. Ginger Rogers. She did everything Fred did but backwards and in heels. So the greatest dancer was overshadowed because of being a woman. Maybe an app or algorithm replacing any occurrence of Fred Astaire with “Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire”.

Cost of living is not the same as cost to exist.
Living and existing are two different things. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are big words that are immediately denied by the right wing. The right always hide behind what is fair for paying taxes. How about raising the tax threshold to above the cost to live. I think the cost to “live” in the USA is about $60,000 a person. Probably higher and I will spend some time figuring what the cost to live really is. Not “exist” but live.
Defense spending is high and everybody knows that. But
what people don’t know is how much is wasted. From my own experience when I was in the Navy I took a brand new just received million dollar boat to be rebuilt. The reason this was done was if we didn’t use that money our next budget would be reduced by that amount.
Most new systems are developed from money given by the department of defense to explore new systems.
People simply want a living wage. That is denied because money
is allowed to be taken out of the economy for personal self interested reasons. In a prosperous economy the rich would still own everything. In a non prosperous economy the rich are allowed to create poverty and suffering.
Most people simply want to make a living and enjoy their families and friends. Everything is easily attainable in a prosperous economy. The only thing depriving the world of prosperity is the selfish greed of some people wanting to control all the money. If the billionaires would invest in jobs producing ventures prosperity would result. They would still own everything but would now be making life better for everybody. The country would benefit from the increased tax revenue. Money should be looked at like a resource and regulations passed to prevent money from being hoarded into stagnation.
Mark Cuban inadvertently exposed the problem when he described having a significant amount of money as “fuck you money”. Having so much money that you answer to nobody. He referred to IPOs as the key to getting “fuck you money”. His ideals are not to be responsible for generating living income jobs. His ideal is to have “fuck you money”. He has no concern for all the lives he deprived of a good living. Money should be circulated at increased velocity to produce prosperity.

His tax cut did help some strapped businesses that truly wanted to stay in business and be constructive. There are a lot of small businesses owned by people who believe in what they do. These are the ones that actually used the tax cut to buy more equipment, hire more people and expand. Unfortunately although they did spur the economy and create a positive economic outlook they are in the minority. That boon is over and running out of money. Trump will be responsible for a severe recession due to his short sighted selfish motivation. He will pass it on to everything “except Trump”. But he will own the 2020 recession.
