The Obama deportation issue
Can someone clarify this issue for me? Are we progressives saying that there shouldn't be deportations at all or only for certain crimes? I'm confused by the issue. How can Biden answer if he supports deportations or not when it's really a case by case issue. If an undocumented immigrant commits a robbery, I always assumed they'd be deported. I think 99% of Americans would agree with this. If there was a high level of deportations under Obama, then is there evidence that they shouldn't have been deported? Were they denied due process or something? I thought they were deported cause they broke some sort of law and shouldn't have been in the country. I just think it's an incredibly complex issue that can't be answered with a yes or no.
Too early to discuss VP's?
If Biden wins, I use to think Harris would be the natural choice, but not anymore. I think that ship has sailed. There is no way there'll be 2 white people on the ticket, especially after 2016. The VP would would almost have to be a female of color. I wouldn't be surprised to see a list of mayors, congresswomen, etc. Biden has a ton of experience and doesn't help there, but choosing someone young and showing them the ropes. I think someone like Mayor Keisha Bottoms would get vetted. What say you?
RNC already running AOC ads in Kentucky
It's starting. Kentucky's gubernatorial elections are in the fall and the GOP are already linking Andy Beshear to AOC although they share nothing in common and have nothing to do with each other. AOC is going to the boogeyman it appears. She is replacing Hillary.
