I have been feeding birds in my back yard for years. Now I have a hawk feeding on the sparrows, doves and quails that come to my yard. Should I stop feeding the birds until the hawk moves on or just let nature take it’s course?

The right wing duality
Two years ago at a cafe I was seated at a table next to two wealthy farmers. Shortly after being seated one farmer was loudly voicing his disapproval of NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem. He said wouldn’t watch nfl game until the league stopped the players from disrespecting the flag. Anyway he went on about a five minute rant. Later the loud talking farmer told the other that he goes big game hunting in South Africa once a year. On his last trip the taxi ride from the airport he had a terrible experience. The taxi driver was speeding through the city streets and hit a black man that was crossing the street. The driver didn’t stop or even slow up. The farmer asked the driver “ aren’t you going to stop and see if that man is okay”. The driver said no, it would just cause more problems. The farmer started yelling at the driver to turn around and check on the man but the he wouldn’t. The farmer said to his friend that he was disgusted that a person could treat another human being like road kill and that was never going back to South Africa.
