Anti-Biden magazine The Nation: "No smoking gun" on impeachment. Dems on "cold war mentality"

This is from an article just three days ago, folks, by Aaron Mate. So you can have all idea of what kind of publicaron this is, which today announced it is anti-endorsing Joe Biden:

https://www.thenation.com/article/trump-impeachment-cold-war/

The available testimony does not strike me as being as damning for Trump as it is being portrayed.

...
This impeachment thing isn't a good idea, because food stamps:
The day after the House impeachment vote also coincided with the end of the comment period for a Trump administration plan to cut food programs for low-income Americans. According to government estimates, around 3 million recipients face the loss of food stamp benefits and close to 1 million children are at risk of losing automatic placement in federal school lunch programs.

About the three people who delivered testimony incriminating Trump, Mate says they're not credible because they opposed Trump's foreign policy:

Given their open dedication to ensuring the continuation of US military aid to Ukraine, it is reasonable to question if the trio’s interpretations of decisions and conversations about freezing military aid were colored by their own policy preferences. As The Washington Post put it, Vindman “told lawmakers that he was deeply troubled by what he interpreted as an attempt by the president to subvert U.S. foreign policy.” While undoubtedly many Democrats and Republicans share Vindman’s foreign policy views, it should be up to the president, not unelected bureaucrats, to decide US foreign policy.

Also, Trump should not be impeached because he's trying to take away food stamps:

The Nation (anti-Biden magazine) promoted debunked claim that Russia didn't hack the DNC

Here is the article written by Seth Rich conspiracy theorist Patrick Lawrence for the pro-Sanders magazine The Nation titled "A New Report Raises Big Questions About Last Year's DNC Hack".

Here is New York magazine in a piece titled
The Nation Article About the DNC Hack Is Too Incoherent to Even Debunk

Here is The Washington Post article entitled The Nation is reviewing a story casting doubt on Russian hack of DNC

And of course Robert Mueller debunked this as well.

Princeton data scientist: Democratic calendar favors white liberals

From David Byler at the Washington Post:

But Biden’s path to the nomination would be easier if the first two states weren’t so full of white liberals who may be more inclined to support someone such as Sanders or Warren.

The shape of the calendar doesn’t just help liberals. South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg has positioned himself a comparatively moderate, Midwestern alternative to Warren, has created a base with upscale whites and has maintained a strong position in Iowa. Buttigieg has a route to the nomination partially because Iowa is so early; if he wins there, he could potentially convince other voters that he’s the electable alternative to Sanders or Warren. If the order of the early states were reversed, Buttigieg’s path would be narrower and we might be talking more about Sen. Kamala D. Harris’s (Calif.) long-shot-but-still-possible path to the nomination.

It’s easy to treat the primary order as though it’s a fact of nature, rather than the result of human choices. But Democrats chose to keep white, liberal states ahead of the rest and the downstream effect is an easier path to the nomination for candidates such as Warren, Sanders and Buttigieg. If they want to change their process and try to eliminate this tilt in 2024 or 2028, they can. But this year, they’ve given upscale white liberals an advantage.

Zelensky was ready to cave to Trump before shit hit the fan (NYT)

The Ukrainian leader really wanted military aid even if it meant becoming Donald Trump's bitch. But the leak of the military freeze forced him to cancel his CNN interview, in which he was planning to issue a caving statement on September 13th regarding the investigation of the Bidens.

Gabbard: Tucker and Hannity are not the only shows I go on

Tulsi Gabbard started that she has also been to MSNBC and CNN, but didn't say how frequently she attends non-Trumper shows in comparison with Tucker and Hannity
