I am no great cook by any means, but I can prepare a healthy and edible meal. In fact, my wife and I share kitchen duty about equally. That said, what I do not need in the kitchen is any help. No, I don't want you to slice the veggies, I will wash the dishes and clean up the mess, just stay the hell out of my way and no one gets hurt. Maybe it is a "man thing," I don't know.

Musings: Perhaps crazy wasn't as fun as we thought it would be? Will the trend continue?
That is the question going forward. It would help a great deal if the former CIC (criminal in chief) was dragged, kicking and screaming, through the criminal court system. Maybe now that Murderoch has waved his magic fox, and has told Trump to take a hike, the DOJ will have permission to move forward on the Trump case.
It will be very interesting to witness how long it takes the Murdoch propaganda machine to reconvert the Trump fans it created. It should be fun to watch the masses being reshaped. Fox needs to remind the Trumpians that the Don made the first move to take their guns... (bump stocks) and that the new Trump administration, that has turned its back on real Americans, and has a secret plan to outlaw guns; that should get the ball rolling. They have two years to turn the Trump cult into the DeSantis cult. The clock is ticking.

No insult to ActBlue, the Democratic Party, or DU, but donating through the link on the forum, only half of the funding goes to the candidate, the rest to the Party. Not that I figure that the party couldn't uses it, but I thought that Brother Warnock could use every penny of it in the next few weeks...
It ain't much, but it is all I can do. At least now I can feel like I have some skin in the game.

Florida is all in...we may as well bring back the Confederate flag....At least it would be honest.
My long-serving congressman was gerrymandered out of his district...The Republicans are so entrenched now, that there is no legal path forward to restore good government.
I am so ashamed of what used to be a Democratic stronghold.
The Republican magic
Is that they began a long game of weaponizing dissatisfaction back in the 90s. Whenever things appeared to be getting better they would provide new issues to stir up passions. When the Democrats did not "come for their guns," they started "killing babies." They have provide scapegoats to hate and a god-like figure to provide salvation. They have spread the word that it is OK to hate, in fact, it is their duty to God and Country to rule by the force of arms.
None of this happened by accident, it has been well planned and well financed for decades. The design, and the end game, leads to the concentration of wealth and power into the hands of fewer and fewer people as time passes. The Republicans and their corporate masters believe that they hold all of the winning cards. They envision a world of masters and the serfs who serve them.
If we are to go out, it needs to be with a bang instead of a whimper.
