Volunteer! My husband and I just spent three nights text-banking for DCCC
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has already been having text-banks.
Usually, text banks start later in the year because they are very expensive to run. This is why Congressional candidates never host them on their own.
We texted mostly for reproductive rights and several Congressional candidates including Tony Vargas, Laura Gillen, Adam Gray, Matt Cartwright, and Will Rollins
At this point, it's mostly about getting people to volunteer for the cause, or to find out if they will vote in November.
We were told our group sent over 500,000 texts in the first two days.
We are DETERMINED to get the House back. We are SO CLOSE.
We are also determined to use the fight for reproductive rights to destroy the Republican Nazis in November.
In this particular text bank, we used Zoom and Hustle. It's very easy.
There is also plenty of phone banking to do (I guess it's cheaper, but also harder to recruit people to do it)
We will be doing some phone banking shortly. We added BlueTooth to our computers and signed up for Google Voice.
Canvassing is also already underway.
Volunteer! It really helps one from feeling helpless to make real change. It's especially good if you can't afford to donate money. We've given hundreds of hours of our time to various groups since 2018.

The Pontiac campus allegedly had 500 congregants per week. Members fired pastor Lorenzo Sewell, but he refused to leave. The locks were even changed. There seems to be an ongoing lawsuit for control of the church.
