No fooling around this is a menace that has to be stopped.

What's the Plan if Trump Tweets That He's Won Re-election? (NY Times Op Ed)
Whats the Plan if Trump Tweets That Hes Won Re-election?On election night in 2012, Barack Obama trailed Mitt Romney by some 30,000 votes at the moment Mr. Obama was projected to win his re-election bid. By the time the votes were tallied, Mr. Obama had five million more votes than Mr. Romney.
In 2016, when Donald Trump accepted Hillary Clintons concession, he was leading the popular vote count by nearly one million votes. When all the votes were counted, he lost the popular vote by nearly three million.
This longstanding and well-documented phenomenon, known as the blue shift, opens the door to a troubling scenario on election night this year.
Imagine: Its midnight, and the electoral map looks quite red. But news networks and election officials arent calling the swing states, as this years record numbers of mail-in and absentee ballots have yet to be fully counted. Mr. Trump, leading in the popular vote, decides hes seen enough. He takes to his social media platforms and declares that he has won re-election and will accept no other result. He tells his tens of millions of followers that the Democrats and the press will try to change the result and steal the election. The door to unrest and constitutional crisis swings wide open.
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have all pledged to crack down on misinformation around voting and electoral outcomes. Perhaps in the above scenario they append a label to the presidents posts saying that the information is disputed and that the results are not in. They could introduce friction into the algorithms to slow the reach of the posts.

Putin to Trump: Let's collude to stop election hackingThe Register
Russia has taken the unusual step of posting a proposal for a new information security collaboration with the United States of America, including a no-hack pact applied to electoral affairs.
The document, titled "Statement by President of Russia Vladimir Putin on a comprehensive program of measures for restoring the Russia US cooperation in the filed [sic] of international information security", opens by saying "one of today's major strategic challenges is the risk of a large-scale confrontation in the digital field" before adding: "A special responsibility for its prevention lies on the key players in the field of ensuring international information security (IIS)."
Russia therefore wants to reach agreement with the USA on "a comprehensive program of practical measures to reboot our relations in the field of security in the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs)".

How the EU can stop Poland's 'LGBT-free zones'Deutsche Welle
Anyone walking past the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels earlier this week would have seen a dazzling light display above their heads, in all colors of the rainbow.
"More than 330,000 people say: EU Turn your words into action. Stop 'LGBT-free zones' in Poland now" the projected message proclaimed, in letters several meters high.
The display was organized by LGBT+ rights advocacy group AllOut in collaboration with the Polish Campaign Against Homophobia. The group handed over a petition with more than 330,000 signatures to the European Union demanding the bloc take urgent action over homophobic and transphobic policies in Poland.
