Children of color are more likely than white children to be infected, hospitalized and die from the coronavirus, according to the Kaiser analysis. They may also be less likely to be vaccinated, leaving them particularly vulnerable.
For American Indian/Alaska Native children, the death rates were over 3 times that of white children and, for Black children, the death rates were over 2.5 times higher than their white counterparts.
“These data are not at all unsurprising,” said Jason Salemi, an epidemiologist with the University of South Florida, in an email to the Times. “I hope we are not still so desensitized to certain subgroups in our population bearing the disproportionate brunt of many adverse health outcomes that it isn’t an urgent call to action.”
Three shot as family fight over gifts at Pa. baby shower
Three people were shot Saturday during a baby shower in Pennsylvania after a fight about gifts, police said.
Police in Lower Burrell, a small city 30 minutes northeast of Pittsburgh, responded to a call reporting an active shooting at the Kinloch Fire Department just after 6 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities discovered that it was “not an active shooter situation but rather an isolated family incident during a baby shower,” city police said on Facebook.
I almost feel we need a Herman Cain like Gif for these fools, but of course the gunman is unharmed.

“The hostess begins spouting out derogatory comments, and speaking with two of the women; they claim that the N-word is being spewed out” Mr. Moore said in an interview. “They also heard the hostess say, ‘Yeah, you guys can leave my restaurant,’ or something very aggressive like that. When Dr. Rankin hears that, she turns around and addresses the hostess. She tells her: ‘This isn’t your restaurant. You’re just a staff member here. Please address us with respect.’”
Amid the dueling accounts, a Black Lives Matter activist said his group planned to demonstrate outside Carmine’s on Monday to protest the treatment of Black patrons. “Restaurants are using vaccine mandates to enforce their racist beliefs and excluding Black patrons,” said Hawk Newsome, the co-founder and chairman of Black Lives Matter Greater New York.

Naked woman drove golf cart through armed standoff in Dunedin, deputy says

According to an arrest affidavit, a naked woman who had nothing to do with the situation made things even harder when she decided to drive a golf cart into the crime scene in Dunedin.
In All Fairness she was a Boston Coed so more of a temporary Florida Man status.
