Did anyone else see the phucking opening to ABC News tonight?

"Protestors in Uvalde yell at Biden to 'do something' " or some such tripe.

Wasn't Abbott booed? Not a damn word about that. Or was I half watching and just missed it?

The coverage looked twisted to me.

WTF ABC?

Abbott 'livid,' says he was 'misled' on police response to shooting

Source: The Hill

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he “was misled” and is “livid” over inaccurate information he was given about the police response to the Texas elementary school shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers.

During a press conference on Friday hours after police acknowledged they should have engaged with an active shooter at a deadly school shooting, Abbott said he was given incorrect information about the initial response.

“I was misled,” Abbott said. “I am livid about what happened.”

Abbott earlier this week heaped praise on police for their response to the shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

On Friday, he reversed course...

Karine doesn't rule out potential investigation into slow cop response

Q Thanks, Karine. Does the President believe that there should be an investigation into the police response to this school shooting?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: So we’ve heard of — (member of the press coughs) — we’ve — need some water? You okay? (Laughs.) Just let us know.

The President — we’ve — we’ve been watching the reporting on this. The President has the utmost respect, as you all know, for the men and women of law enforcement. Just days ago, he honored the memory of the former police officer, Aaron Salter, in Buffalo who was killed bravely while trying to stop the shooter at the supermarket.

I know that right now authorities are working to piece together more details of what happened in Uvalde, so we won’t prejudge the results from here at this time.

It is al- — it is always a good idea to look back and try to find any lessons we can learn, especially from trag- — tragedies like this, so that we can prevent them from moving forward, including law enforcement response.

Germany and Italy told companies they could open rouble accounts to keep buying Russian gas 5/20/22

"Germany and Italy told companies they could open rouble accounts to keep buying Russian gas without breaching sanctions against Moscow following discussions with the European Union, sources said.

The debate over Russia's demand that foreign buyers pay for gas in roubles has tested the resolve of European governments to take a hard line against Moscow over the war in Ukraine.

Poland, Bulgaria and Finland have refused to comply with Moscow's demand that importers pay for gas via rouble accounts with Gazprombank and their supplies have been cut.

Other member states, however, have been unwilling to steer companies towards action that could result in losing vital supplies of Russian gas that heats homes and powers factories..."

This is about a week old but I had not seen it. Is the EU sticking together on this?

Gun humpers are invigorated by mass shootings

Make no mistake. It actually emboldens them in their views. It gives them a visceral charge. Their opposition to reform hardens.

I had an in-law who would actually get a spring in his step and a sudden chattiness about guns. They see people killed in mass shootings as sacrifices we must make to remain armed to the teeth. They don't give a damn about the people who died. They are faceless offerings to Merica and her guns.
