Born 1957, my memory reaches back to JFK and my interest in politics to 1968. My parents were lefties who always cared about civil rights, and my Aunt Kate (born 1907) was an organizer for labor. She was one of three ladies interviewed in the 1976 film Union Maids, which was nominated for an academy award. I like to hike & backpack, and still compete in slowpitch softball.Avatar Image
