(367 posts)Here is his take on defense: I am for peace, and I am for diplomacy, but our foreign policy has to be based on reality. And the reality is that North Korea has nuclear weapons; Iran is rapidly developing a nuclear program; China is building its military and showed the world that it is ready to wage war in space; terrorist groups like al Qaeda are looking for every chance to do us harm. And nothing on Russia Dr. Fearmonger? You are slipping in your diatribe.
This is from his homepage as well: Al Qaeda thrives on poverty, despair, violence and fear. The bottom line is they cannot afford for freedom to succeed. Conversely, we cannot afford to allow freedom to fail. Military decisions should be made on sound strategy, not politics. Sounds like the consevative mantra, "thrives on poverty, despair, violence and fear"!
