It's the fact that the cops will give them a free hand. Cops hate the idea of civilian review boards, body cams, any sort of police accountability. Democrats have advocated for such. Republicans advocate against it.

It's not in the interest of police to clamp down on racist election day violence and intimidation. So they can't be trusted to do so.
