But, the rest of it has little chance of staying in place if the risk pool shrinks.
Premiums will skyrocket and it's possible congress will repeal other aspects of the ACA bit by bit in order to rescue the insurance industry.
My cynical side interprets it as pretty much dead without the mandate, but there are probably numerous alternate possibilities beyond my knowledge.

This is why 2018 is also about the ACA. The tax bill removes the mandate in 2019, and 2018 is the still_one Dec 2017 #8
