(8,205 posts)19. We had one of those winters last year where it would snow, then rain then freeze, over and over,
Even the buses with chains could not move. The kids ended up having a 6 week Xmas vacation but no one could go anywhere. We live in the toolies and it was a long, very cold (well (in the teens day and night) 6 weeks.It was one of the worst, and I shudder at the thought of another.

I don't mind the white so much as the cold. It's a good 2 weeks until we go above freezing again.
