20. The second McCarthy Era predates Donald Trump. I see your point but here is how I look at it:

If we pin it all on Trump then it opens the door for the GOP to do the same stuff again down the line.

We need to make it clear to the American people that this is a dark chapter in Republican Party history. President Scott Walker would be doing some pretty heinous things right now, if he had been given the opportunity.

And we should all be terrified by three words: President Kris Kobach.
