But now that they know what it takes to get Collins and Makursky on board, and if McCain has to leave the Senate because of his illness and is replaced by appointment...it's possible to pull it off.

Still, I think it would be very difficult. Actually repealing the mandate took away some incentive for the politicians to risk their popularity on a healthcare bill.
