It's a twisted capriciousness. If you stop and think, that what entertainment media is all about. The goal is to manipulate the emotions an audience... typically only for a short time. For a guy who is obsessed with power, his foray into an entertainment medium should not have been surprising. That he was able to take to the world stage as the most powerful man in the world says a lot about our cultural values when it comes to media consumption.
