8. This sounds like massive character assassination to discredit Bannon before Mueller talks to him.

There is little doubt to me that Bannon knows where a lot of the proverbial (?) bodies are buried. By discrediting him public, it raises suspicions about the credibility of anything he says to Mueller in private or under oath. It’s almost as if Bannon and 45 conspired together to destroy him as a witness in order to protect 45 and his family.
