(44,579 posts)When I was a kid, it was almost always cereal, every day. Didn't even love cereal, but that's what I had.
Saturdays my dad usually made us pancakes, or if he was feeling lazy, toasted up some waffles.
As an adult, I'll alternate from day to day. Some days a bagel. Other days a frozen waffle. Other days, scrambled eggs and toast. Rarely it's cereal.
I'll always have coffee and orange juice. My day feels incomplete without it.
I've become partial to making "Eggs in a basket" out of English muffins (what I knew as "Moonstruck breakfast" growing up because they featured it in the movie Moonstruck). I'll cut the center out of an English muffin, drop an egg in the middle, and fry it up. Sprinkle some Old Bay seasoning on top. (Since no part goes to waste, I'll fry up the center cuts as well.)
On Saturdays or Sundays, I'll be the one to make pancakes for my kids. I don't know if they appreciate it as much as I did, but I still love pancakes.
Dare I say, breakfast is perhaps my favorite meal of the day.
