2. NAFTA led to unintended consequences. You aren't going to get everything right in a 40 year career

Point is -- NAFTA began under Bush Senior. It was far more his baby than Clinton's. Context and culture of the 1990s is important to understand. We were just coming off of the "Reagan Revolution." Again -- NAFTA led to unintended consequences. Let us also remember that we must trade with the rest of the world somehow. Oh and that the Clintons did lots of other things to help middle-class families during the 1990s. Why we only focus on NAFTA and not all the other things accomplished always perplexes me.
