They're the first couple to keep separate bedrooms in the WH. They keep separate wings in Trump Tower and can go days without seeing each other. Whenever Trump travels they don't call or text each other. She didn't want Trump to run and cried when he won. She wanted to live a private life with discreet luncheons and resents him for forcing her into the political spotlight.

The book also mentions that Trump eats fast food because he's afraid of being poisoned. He's probably afraid Melania will try to poison him.
