(34,195 posts)I can see why some places may not want politics discussed.
I suspect a YMCA gets a wide variety of folks and the place may want to be nonpartisan.
You say you have "a wide following".
Just exclude the YMCA from the places where you feel the need to express yourself politically,
and avail yourself of the exercise opportunities.
Imagine how disruptive it would be for you if someone always was singing the praises of Trump.
A place like the Y needs to be comfortable for everyone.
As for:
"I cried for a abit this weekend. I have PTSD and this has sent me back to a bad place of fear and anxiety. An abusive man controlling my daily life. Taking away the best part of my day."
Have you considered asking your doctor about some antidepressant medications?
I join others here in wishing you well,
but you may need step back and reassess your options.
