If your membership is not reinstated ASAP. This may violate the First Amendment as well as your contractual agreement.

You could also talk to any progressive activist groups about holding a protest rally in front of the Y as a backdrop for a press conference you should hold with the ACLU or your legal counsel (after reading your contract and code of conduct).

Maybe launch an online petition at ipetition or MoveOn asking people to 1) send a letter to the Y asking them to change this policy and 2) boycott the Y until it does. If enough people ask for refunds on membership this might change.
