...democracies and alliances. Putin supported Brexit to hurt the EU. Now there is one less nation in that powerful alliance, and Britain must negotiate terms alone. He supported Calexit, too -- maybe as a joke, maybe not. But just imagine how much fun he'll have if my fellow Californians actually put this measure on the ballot this year.

Putin supported Trump, and it sure as hell isn't because he wants the US to be powerful and have a lot of allies.
