When the inequities of our time reach an unacceptable extreme, things will change.

We don't need violence. We, each of us, need to develop personal consciousness of right and wrong. Each of us is responsible for doing what is right, fair, just, equitable in our own lives. And then we will be able to change the world.

I am encouraged when I read most of the posts on DU because it is clear to me that many on DU have developed that personal consciousness of right and wrong and ARE acting and living according to that consciousness.

So I think that DU is an example of the direction that humanity can take to change the world. If all of us write and act and communicate with each other about what kind of world we want, a world of moral consciousness and of caring about each other, then we can change the world. We are the change the world needs and truly wants.

My thoughts on this issue. It isn't up to the billionaires to change. It's up to us. If we create in our minds and hearts the image of the world we want, and we share our ideas about it here on DU, we are making progress, we are moving toward creating that world. The billionaires will join us in our vision when we make that vision very clear and also very desirable.
