In reply to the discussion: Joe Scarborough has just gone apeshit on Morning Joe [View all]Nevernose
(13,081 posts)89. Does that include the Clinton campaign?
The variety of candidates is a positive here, and many of the lesser known can serve as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right. In this scenario, we dont want to marginalize the more extreme candidates, but make them more Pied Piper candidates who actually represent the mainstream of the Republican Party, read the memo.
Pied Piper candidates include, but arent limited to:
Ted Cruz
Donald Trump
Ben Carson
We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to [take] them seriously."

Promoting him was literally out of the campaigns playbook. Both the campaign and Joe Asshole Scarborough did it for the same motivation: ratings.
For the record, I did NOT call out Clinton. If you read the article I linked to, it says staffer Mook was the one who was too late in recognizing Trump as a viable threat. The book Shattered adds a lot more detail about Mooks various failings. He, in my own often-stupid opinion, is more responsible for President Trump than just about anyone, including Morning Asshole and Vladimir Putin.
That rant aside: Joe is the most fair-weathered friend on cable TV. Hell say whatever is necessary to keep his job and ratings. Im in total agreement that hes a piece of shit.

I see them less as allies and more as useful tools in pushing back against Trump
