27. ramifcations are that since we are likely to take back the house and maybe the senate

It will come back to bite them in the Ass. So far no party in power has wanted to do that because they know that once they are back in the minority they would have no power left. The rules of the senates are voted on by the senate, not cast in stone since they are not part of what is mandated by the constitution.
