Awhile back I lived in Sacramento, the most diverse city I've ever known. I knew a game store manager who couldn't be much whiter, even had red hair. One day a customer made some derogatory comments about some black guys in the store, thinking big white Wayne would be on the same page. Little did that guy know that Wayne was married to a black woman and had two children. I can't remember what Wayne said to him, but he was surprisingly cool about it, finding the guy's ignorance laughable.

What makes people think it is okay to share their racism with anyone, anywhere without repercussions? They do the same thing with gay people, mindbogglingly stupid.
