(71,549 posts)21. Nobody was fooled. I was glad the shutdown ended and CHIP was done...but shutting the government
down wasn't going to work in terms of saving Dreamers and would hurt our most important effort... the effort to win election in 18. We get the House and the Senate...we can force Trump to the table...even if we just get the House...it will be significant. In November of 16 the GOP and some so called progressives sent a 'message' to Democrats and elected Republicans. We are lucky we have fared this well so far...and if we don't get the House back at least in 18, we are screwed. To those who screwed our party over...and now pretend to care about dreamers and be all big progressives now...I saw you all on social media last night...a giant fuck you goes out to you.

He went to court so he could deport them...he won't extend shit...but we have no way to stop him.
