True he's lied in thousands and thousands of civil cases, then settles. The truth is many of those - like Trump University- could have been brought as criminal cases but weren't.

This is criminal. If he's relying on a pardon from Pence or whomever, that's great. That means he's ok with risking impeachment and conviction.

But the whole discussion is moot because he's Bullshiticus, Greek God of Bullshit.

He's going to delay and stall as long as he can, offer written answers, limit questions, require attorneys present who will object to everything, say he doesn't recall, give vague answers, play dumb, and Mueller won't get anything. Everything short of obstruction. That's Trump's only choice short of a Saturday Night Massacre - delay and evasion.
