DH’s employer merged recently which resulted in a bit of a bump to the 401k. He’s still a few years from retirement and can keep working if needed.

But it would suck to lose a bunch of it.

I still have about 11 years to go before I retire but I have a pension. My 457 isn’t as big as his 401k but again it’d suck to watch a bunch of it evaporate.

We are aware of the potential drop but we aren’t budging at this point.
